INTRODUCE

Buying secondhand goods is a great way to save money. Secondhand shops may also have one-of-a-kind items that you can’t find in regular stores!

1. To spend money on something means to use money for something.

STEP B PRONUNCIATION

When one word ends in –nd and the next word starts with a consonant sound, the /d/ sound is often dropped.

TRIVIA

Secondhand shops are commonly known as recycle shops but the term recycle shop is actually a direct translation. In English, secondhand shops are also commonly called thrift shops.
